Who can enter?

The tournament is a Men's Open meaning anyone can enter.

How many teams are there?

There will be 24 teams competing in total. 16 teams in the main tournament and 8 elite squads in our elite event.

What is the tournament format?

The main tournament will be split into 4 groups of 4. The top two teams from each group will progress to the 2nd round of the cup whilst the bottom two teams will drop into the bowl. Every team is therefore guaranteed a minimum of 4 games.

The elite tournament will be split into two groups of 4, with the top two progressing to the semis.

What do you win?

The main tournament winners will be awarded £600. Both finalists and the winners of the bowl competition will also receive a crate of beer provided by our sponsors.

The elite tournament prize is £1200.

How many players in a squad?

Teams are allowed a maximum of 12 players in their squad.

Is there an entry fee?

Yes. The entry fee is £120 per team. This helps cover the tournament prize money and running costs.

The elite tournament has an entry fee of £170, however if you wish to compete in this event your team must first be approved to enter by the tournament organisers.

What is the standard like?

The Open does not include professional squads and is targeted at amateur players. Several teams include some great talent from the amateur game and the standard is generally quite high however a good mix of teams mean that the games are always competitive.

The elite tournament is targeted at specialist 7s teams, semi-pro's, etc.

Key Details

  • Team registration opens at 9am
  • The first games are at 1030am
  • The corporate lunch will commence shortly after 1pm
  • The tournament final is at approximately 430pm
